Privacy Policy

The app: no account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
- No account
- No ads
- No analytics in the app
- No tracking
- Your library stays on your device
The website (not the app) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies or tracking you across sites.
The short version: The Gamepage app has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. What you pin, search and view stays on your device. We don't collect your data, so we have nothing to sell or share. If the app crashes or freezes, it sends an anonymous crash report so we can fix the bug. The website (not the app) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies or tracking you across sites.
This policy covers the Gamepage app for iPhone and iPad ("Gamepage", "the app"), made by the Gamepage developer ("we", "us").
What stays on your device
Gamepage saves a few things so the app works the way you expect. They are stored only on your device, in the app's own storage:
- Pins: the games and companies you pin (their name, ID and cover picture link).
- Recent searches: the words you searched for.
- Viewed games: the game pages you opened. This powers "Recently viewed". Game lookups are unlimited and never counted.
- Your library and lists: each game's status (Playing, Paused, Wishlist, Backlog, Finished, Dropped), the platform you picked, the studios you follow, your custom lists and tier lists, your playthroughs with their ratings and notes, and your play sessions (start, length, note).
- Widgets: a small copy of your Now Playing games and upcoming releases (names, dates, hours, small cover pictures) in a folder only the Gamepage app and its own widgets can read.
- Cached pictures: your device's standard web cache may keep copies of cover art and screenshots it downloaded, so they load faster. Your device can clear this cache whenever it needs space.
None of this is sent to us, and it isn't synced to iCloud. You can remove pins and recent searches in the app at any time, and deleting the app deletes everything it saved.
Importing and exporting your library
Importing and exporting are optional and only happen when you start them. Some imports may not be in your version of the app yet.
- Export Library makes a JSON and a CSV file on your device. They leave it only when you share or save them.
- Another tracker's export, a CSV file or a pasted list: the file or text is read on your device. Only the game titles are sent, through our game-data relay below, to look up the matching games, like a search. Statuses, dates, ratings, notes and the file itself stay on your device.
Only the games you choose to add are saved, on your device, with the rest of your library.
Notifications
Release-day, date-change and studio alerts are local notifications: your device decides when to show them, from the release dates the app looks up through the relay below. Nothing about your wishlist or the studios you follow is sent to us, and there are no push notifications from a server. Turn them off in Settings ▸ Notifications.
Crash and hang diagnostics
If Gamepage crashes or freezes (an "app hang"), it sends an anonymous diagnostic report to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), the crash-reporting service we use to find and fix bugs. A report says where in the app's code it went wrong (the stack trace), plus the app version, the device model, the OS version, language and region setting, and free memory at the time. It does not include your name, email, Apple Account, IP address, any account or device identifier, your pins, library, searches or play time, screenshots, or what you were looking at. The app sends nothing else to Sentry: no usage or launch counts, no performance traces, no network logs and no session recordings. Reports are used only to fix bugs, never for tracking or ads, and aren't linked to you. Sentry stores them for us under its privacy policy and deletes each report automatically after at most 90 days.
Where the app connects
- Our game-data server. Game information comes from IGDB.com. The app doesn't talk to IGDB directly: it asks our small relay server, which holds our IGDB access and forwards the question. When you search or open a page, the relay receives what any website receives: your IP address, the request (for example, the game you searched for or opened), an app identifier ("Gamepage" and the app version) and a key that is the same for every copy of the app. No name, email, account or device ID is sent. The relay uses your IP address only to stop any one connection from sending too many requests. It doesn't keep a log of your searches, and we don't use your IP address to identify you.
- IGDB's image server (images.igdb.com). Cover art, logos and screenshots load straight from IGDB, which receives your IP address and the picture requested, like any website. IGDB is a Twitch service; see Twitch's privacy notice.
- Sentry (sentry.io), only when the app crashes or freezes: the anonymous diagnostic report described above. Like any website, Sentry's servers see the IP address the report comes from; the app tells Sentry not to store it.
- Apple, for subscriptions (see below).
That's the full list. The app contains no analytics or advertising code. Its only third-party code is Sentry's crash reporter (above).
If you tap a link (for example a game's page on IGDB.com, or this page), it opens in your browser, and that website's own privacy policy applies.
This website
The website (not the app) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies or tracking you across sites. It shows us totals such as how many people opened a page and which site sent them, never who you are. The website is hosted on Cloudflare, which, like any web host, receives your IP address when your browser loads a page. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. This covers gamepageapp.com only: none of it is in the app.
Subscriptions
Gamepage Pro comes two ways, both sold through Apple's App Store:
- Subscription: $3.49 a month or $24.99 a year, each with a one-week free trial. It renews automatically until you cancel it in your App Store account settings.
- Gamepage Lifetime: a $59.99 one-time purchase that never renews. You pay once and keep Gamepage Pro for good.
Apple handles the payment. We never see your name, card number or Apple Account. The app only checks with Apple whether your subscription or Gamepage Lifetime purchase is active, so it can unlock Pro features. Apple's privacy policy covers your purchase: apple.com/legal/privacy. How subscriptions renew and how to cancel them is in our Terms of Use.
No account, no tracking, no ads
- There is no sign-up or login.
- We don't track you across apps or websites, and we don't use advertising identifiers.
- We don't show ads.
- We don't sell, rent or share personal data, because we don't collect it.
Children
Gamepage is a general-audience game guide and isn't aimed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because the app doesn't collect personal information at all.
Your choices
Because your data lives only on your device, you're in control: remove pins or recent searches in the app, or delete the app to remove everything. If you have a question about your data, email us and we'll answer.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts handling data differently, we'll update this page and the date at the top before that version of the app is released.
